Is Lauren really a volunteer firefighter or is she an actress?
According to published reports and quotes from the advertising agency responsible for the Bare Minerals advertising campaign, the women chosen for these commercials including Lauren, who appears to be a real volunteer firefighter. Although it does appear that she really is a volunteer firefighter, what is not revealed is whether or not she has a full-time job or if she also works as a model.
It should be noted that at no time does Lauren or the announcer tell us that she actually uses Bare Minerals makeup. We do see her brushing some makeup on to her face, but no claim is ever made that she actually uses this product.
