Claims and phrases:
I’ve always seen NoNo! on TV and wondered if it worked and it definitely.. I can see what everybody talks about: This “user testimonial” showing a young woman at a shopping mall trying the NoNo states that she always wondered if it works. Yet, her affirmation is “I can see what everybody talks about”. Many people could easily be misled, if not paying close attention, to thinking or assuming that this statement is an affirmation that the NoNo does work, when in fact it is an affirmation that she can “see what everybody talks about”, which, could be anything.
The #1 hair removal system in the world: On it’s face, this statement would lead most people to believe that NoNo is the most popular, best, or highest selling hair remover in the world. But the commercial does not state what NoNo is “#1” for. All is says is simply, “it’s number one”. This statement alone, has no meaning. Additionally, in very small fine print on screen the words “Using patented Thermicon technology”. This patented Thermicon technology appears to be licensed for use only in the NoNo products. Meaning, that no other companies or products other than NoNo exist with Thermicon technology – this means, that since the NoNo has no other competition in this narrow definition, it can only be #1.
There is absolutely no pain; it’s almost hair free [after use]: During these user testimonials, the words “results may vary” are displayed on the TV screen in very small lettering. This means, that you might have pain, and your might not be hair-free after using NoNo.
Imagine never having to shave again: This is not a statement that you will never have to shave again. It is instead asking you imagine it. Many people could easily confuse this statement to mean ‘you will never have to shave again’ when instead it is simply saying “imagine it”.
No more facial hair.. No more embarrassment: It appears that the NoNo commercial is careful to not state that if using NoNo you will have no more facial hair or embarrassment. This could be considered by many to be a very misleading statement intended to fool viewers into thinking that by using NoNo you will have no more facial hair.
Triple guarantee, 60 day money back guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied return it and we will refund the purchase price: In extremely small print on the screen the words “Other terms and conditions may apply”. Since these “other terms” or conditions are not disclosed, this wording could mean that the NoNo company can add any any wording they choose potentially making it impossible for you to get your money back.
How much does NoNO or NoNoPro cost?
The cost of the NoNoPro and the NoNo is not mentioned in the NoNoPro TV commercial. According to the NoNo Pro website, if you purchase the NoNoPro3, you will be charged $96.65 plus $14.95. 30 days later your credit card will be charged $96.65 more, and then again 60 days later, a final charge will be made to your credit card for $96.65 for a combined total of over $304.
Although this is not a deception per-se, it is important to be aware that the NoNo and the NoNoPro are not inexpensive.
The NoNoPro TV commercial makes meaningless statements and has user testimonials and “fine print” that could potentially lead many viewers into believing that the NoNo is better than it actually is. The No No commercial also does not disclose it’s high price.
